Circa 1960's. This is a beautiful vintage 18k yellow gold hand-painted portrait miniature pendant/brooch by the famous Italian jeweler Corletto. Ringed with a border of pearls and an inner textured Florentine design.
The center showcases a hand-painted aristocrat or princess under a domed protective crystal. It is designed in the traditional French habillé style, meaning "dressed" or "clothed," where real physical gemstones are applied right over the painted surface. On her tiara/hair, necklace, and shoulder, you can see small single-cut diamonds and accent stones
The piece is convertible with an articulated bail at the top to slide onto a necklace chain, as well as a pin stem with a locking catch on the reverse so it can be worn as a brooch. In very good condition.

Stones:Â 3 single cut diamonds and a single ruby. Halo of cultured pearls.
