Estate Opal Butterfly 14k Yellow Gold Ring

Estate Butterfly Opal ring in 14k yellow gold with textured finish. 

The opal shows a nice green colors and hues of blue while surrounded by textured 14k gold for added affect.  It is a ring that can be worn as a cocktail ring or an everyday ring, and as far as good looks go, there is a lot going on here. I couldn't quite capture its true colors, looks much nicer in person. The opal are translucent but with lots of color, it would make a very nice gift. It will be shipped in a new presentation gift box.

PRIMARY GEMSTONE:  a marquise shaped, cabochon opal measure approximately 10mm by 4.8mm and the smaller ones measure 7.7mm by 4mm .

METAL:  14k yellow gold.

WEIGHT:  7.2 grams.

RING SIZE:  approximately 4.

MEASUREMENTS:  approximately 23 mm vertical to the fingernail by 24mm from wing to wing.

CONDITION:  high magnification photographs show considerable design details, and the item is in good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
